New Year, New Opportunities for Wellness

The Prevention Alliance for Greater Prince William would like to wish the residents and surrounding communities of Prince William a happy and healthy start to the new year! As a community coalition we are honored to work alongside dedicated community leaders and organizational partners that seek to provide a wealth of education, services, and resources to our residents year round. Please see below for more information on classes being offered by the Virginia Cooperative Extension of PWC who is ‘Strengthening Families Through Education‘ via their diverse parenting programs.

The Systematic Training for Effective Parenting (STEP), the When Families Get Angry (WFGA) and the Juvenile Justice Parenting Program (JJPP) parenting classes offer a practical and realistic approach to the challenges of parenting. Parents are surrounded by other parents who share similar concerns. Parents are encouraged and supported as the program progresses.

‘Tis the Season for Renewed Wellness

Beginning in January of 2021, Prince William Community Services is offering this interactive wellness workshop at no cost to all residents of the Greater Prince William Area. Residents of all ages are encouraged to take their first steps on their wellness journey by accepting this invitation to identify and strengthen your 5 Bridges through BOND, FUEL, MOVE, REST, and GIVE.

“5 Bridges is a holistic and practical approach to wellness. This isn’t a prescription, it’s a self-care roadmap customized by you! This holistic health workshop is designed to provide you with strategies and tools that can be incorporated into your daily routines and mindset to achieve improved balance and harmony in your everyday life and relationships with others.”
